## Christmas markets in the region

### Flensburg city centre

Stalls with crafts, mulled wine and roasted almonds line the pedestrian zone up to the squares by the brick churches.

### Christmas Island at Gottorf Castle

The former fairy-tale Christmas market at Glücksburg Castle moves to Gottorf Castle in Schleswig as the "Weihnachtsinsel" from 2026. Dates are yet to be announced.

### Glücksburg Castle in winter

Open Saturdays and Sundays 11 am–5 pm from November to March. Closed from 21 Dec 2026 to 3 Jan 2027.

## Advent at Villa Boreal

After the market, head back to the fjord: fireplace, barrel sauna on the beach and a jetty leading into the cold water. The main house and beach house sleep up to 8 guests.

Advent weekends are popular. Enquire early – we reply within 24 hours.
