# Baltic Sea beach house rental: by the water in Glücksburg

Updated: 15 October 2026 · Editorial team: Villa Boreal

A **Baltic Sea beach house** is about more than the view: the route to the water matters too. Villa Boreal is in Bockholm near Glücksburg, directly on the Flensburg Fjord. The estate includes a separate beach house, a main house, a garden with direct beach access and a private bathing jetty. For your planning: you rent the whole estate, not the beach house separately. Dogs are welcome on request.

## Villa Boreal at a glance

- Bockholm, Glücksburg · Flensburg Fjord · Schleswig-Holstein, Germany
- Exclusive rental of the main house and beach house together
- Direct beach access from the grounds · private bathing jetty
- Dogs on request · include the type and number of pets in your enquiry
- 250 m² main house · 50 m² beach house · 1,060 m² grounds
- Up to 8 guests · Minimum stay 3 nights

## A beach house directly by the sea: check the location

**A sea view is not the same as direct beach access.** A holiday home can overlook the water yet be separated from it by roads or other properties. Check the exact location, access and current images before booking. At Villa Boreal, the grounds lead directly to the beach on the Flensburg Fjord, complemented by a private 15-metre bathing jetty. The fjord is a Baltic Sea inlet with views towards Denmark, rather than an open surf coast. Wind, weather and water levels affect swimming conditions. Direct beach access does not imply an exclusively private beach.

## The Villa Boreal beach house: a retreat within the estate

The **50 m² beach house** has two floors, one double bedroom, a kitchen, lounge and bathroom. A veranda facing the sea and a fireplace make it a separate retreat within the grounds. The 250 m² main house adds space for shared meals and time together. Both buildings are rented together only. This suits couples, families or friends who want both company and privacy. Guest capacity applies to the entire estate, not to each building separately. Find images in our gallery (https://villa-boreal.de/en/bilder) and further details on the beachfront holiday home page (https://villa-boreal.de/en/luxus-ferienhaus-ostsee-strand).

## A beach house with your dog: agree the details first

For a **beach house holiday with a dog by the sea**, the label pet-friendly is only the starting point. Dogs at Villa Boreal are welcome **on request**. Tell us what pets and how many dogs will travel; confirm conditions and any additional costs before accepting an offer. We do not promise a fully fenced garden or unrestricted access to every beach. Public beach rules apply independently of permission to bring a dog to the house. Consult our dog holiday guide (https://villa-boreal.de/en/hund) and the latest Glücksburg tourist information (https://www.gluecksburg-urlaub.de/urlaub-mit-hund). Follow signs for designated dog beaches, leash requirements and protected areas. Around Holnis, respect for birds and fellow visitors is especially important.

## Renting a Baltic Sea beach house: plan the full stay

When comparing **Baltic Sea beach house rentals**, consider the whole stay rather than the nightly rate alone. Villa Boreal seasonal rates cover the complete estate with both buildings. Rental information includes final cleaning, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi. Current seasonal rates, minimum stay and guest capacity appear below; enquire about dates and dog conditions through the booking page (https://villa-boreal.de/en/booking). An enquiry is not an instantly confirmed reservation. Include dates, guest numbers and pets so we can provide a suitable offer. The beach house's size does not mean it can be booked separately.

## Bockholm, Glücksburg and the Flensburg Fjord

This Baltic Sea inlet combines days at the water with outings in a region shaped by German and Danish culture. Around Holnis (https://villa-boreal.de/en/holnis) are coastal paths and natural areas; Glücksburg adds a castle, beaches and woodland. Our beach guide (https://villa-boreal.de/en/straende) helps you choose an outing, while Flensburg offers a harbour and old town for a city day. Summer favours time outdoors; cooler months invite walks and evenings indoors. Check current visitor information and respect closed paths in nature reserves. The Glücksburg beach overview (https://www.ostsee.de/gluecksburg/strand.php) provides additional coastal information.

## Pool and sauna by the sea: season and safety

The estate includes a heated outdoor pool, sauna and whirlpool. These complement a beach house holiday, and the outdoor pool is **heated and usable all year round**. Read our pool and sauna holiday home guide (https://villa-boreal.de/en/ferienhaus-ostsee-pool-sauna) for planning questions. Children need supervision around the beach, jetty and pool. Swimming in the fjord depends on weather and personal ability. Choose your stay based on facilities available on your dates, not just the amenities listed.
